A couple weeks back I downloaded 2.2.0pre4 (I think) just to see what it
looked like. One of the readme files in that distribution did contain a
list of required versions for various packages. From a list of about 20
items I think I had 3 or 4 current. For those of us with an older
distribution, upgrading will not be trivial. I think you are running
Redhat 5.1 so I'd bet you have a lot of the recommended packages already
especially since you ran a fairly recent 2.1x kernel not too long back.
