[aclug-L] HEEEELP!!!!!!!!!!!

i've been upgrading a few of my libraries/apps on my system, and all of
a sudden (after rebooting) all my prefs in GNOME are GONE!!!!  i can't
run xterm from the command line or anywhere (it doesn't find it)... one
of the things i upgraded was bash, and now the /etc/bashrc file has been
reset to the default (barely anything's in there!!!!!!!!!!)

PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!
