[no subject]

I can run my linux machine for months without trouble, but
whenever I start doing things on the Jaz drives, it locks
up and needs rebooting within the next 24 hours or so.
Things are on the screen, but they stop responding to
key and mouse actions.  Any clues?

Red Hat 4.2, kernel 2.0.30. 
Drives on /dev/sda1 and /dev/sdb1

HP Vectra, Pentium 200.
Adaptec 2940AU
