[aclug-L] Debian to stop (for now) distributing KDE

Yesterday Debian announced they would stop distributing KDE because of
a problem with KDE licenses.

At issue is the fact the GPL'd KDE (KDE code is licensed under the GNU GPL
v2 ) requires the QT library which is not GPL. As the GPl requires all
components of GPL software  to be GPL, KDE can not be distributed by
anyone. 

To solve this either KDE, or QT most change its license, or KDE must use
another widget library.
