would these errors have anything to do with my inet problem?

        can't locate module net-pf-4
        can't locate module net-pf-5

in kernel 2.0.34, it has the error about net-pf-5, but not the
net-pf-4...

just grabbing at straws here...  also, i completely removed sendmail, as
i never use it anyway...  it still hangs on starting smbd, tho'...
