Urgg, KDE/Qt compilation is a real mess.  One reason why Gnome/Gtk is
winning out :-)

Anyway, what Linux distro do you have?  And are you using their own
KDE/Qt library packages or did you compile the KDE/Qt libraries for
yourself?  Which version exactly do you have installed?
