I've been running it on my laptop for some time.  It seems to be OK,
although there is a strange problem where init cannot umount / on
shutdown and so minor FS corruption occurs (nothing that fsck can't
fix on the next boot).

But, of course, the 2.1.x kernels are development ones, so your
mileage may vary.
