OK, I don't have much time this morning, but here's the brief summary.
First, you need to recompile your kernel with sound as a module. See
the Sound HOWTO and the info at http://www.aclug.org/info/ if you need
help. *Hopefully* this is all you'll need -- PCI devices usually
should work "out of the box" in Linux. If it doesn't work, you may
need to use a different driver set; we can help with that, too.
