You probably need to upgrade your libc.  Check the Linux-Java howto and 
the required libraries link on 
<http://www.blackdown.org/java-linux.html>

I'm not sure how ICQJava is going to run in 8MB of ram.  I've seen the 
process use over 20MB before.  You might take a look at one of the Linux
ICQ close like Licq <http://pages.infinit.net/fairoff/licq/index.html>.
It uses a lot less ram and I've found it to work better than the Java 
version in a lot of cases.
