[announce] Where do we go from here? An ACLUG Survey

Members of Aclug:

We've noticed a drop in meeting attendance and a general lack of
participation in ACLUG.

For those of you who don't know, ACLUG is managed by committee, originally
seven people, now just two full time and a few part time. Most of the work
is handled by just a few of the committee, with very little participation
from the members. Some have complained about how the group is run, yet we
get few volunteers, and often those are unavailable when we need them.

So, where do you want ACLUG to go? For ACLUG meetings to continue being
topic oriented, we need help from our members -- more than just attending
meetings, but helping with topics and helping with activities; not just
saying you'll help, but actually showing up and helping.

Or would you prefer ACLUG to become more of a social group, instead of a
topic oriented one? This would not affect our messages boards, only our
meetings.

To help us decide how best to meet our members needs, we've set up a short
questionnaire at:

those of you who are close enough to actually attend meetings complete this
survey. We will follow this up with a meeting in approximately two weeks to
discuss the results. Hopefully with your input we can come to some kind of
consensus of how best to meet your needs.
