[PATCH] allow dynamic addition of ui plugins
[Top] [All Lists]
[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index] [Thread Index]
Hi,
(re-sent because of dumb mutt misusage and malformatting of commit msg)
this is more a RFC to my last mail.=20
I wanted to be able to add UI plugins dynamically mostly because they can=
have dependencies=20
that offlineimap itself should not have (e.g. GTK or Curses). So I moved =
all ui plugins to=20
the offlineimap.ui.plugins package.=20
The invocation with this patch is:
=09
offlineimap -u <MODULENAME>=20
and not:=09
offlineimap -u <MODULENAME>.<CLASSNAME>=20
as the concret class is defined by the plugins getUIClass() method.
Although this patch is rather invasive it allows to easily create and dis=
tribute new UI modules=20
(think of the Gnome branch) without changing any file in the rest of the =
distribution.
