What distro (you and clint) Running the "evil commercial" (which is actually

Redhat has resulted in no problems since 6.2 with regards to video.
What version X? 4.0.0 or 4.1.0 (fixed bugs directly related to voodoo3) or
4.2.0 (runs even better, and has some various general fixes/improvements)
Which kernel as well, The Voodoo 3 needs the tdfx module to run well (or no
hardware OpenGL) only 2.4+ kernels support this, and they changed the format
somewhere (latest kernel is probably best (unless rh's patched kernel works
better, and you have to strip the ide stuff out of rh's version and put it in
the new one, long story))
Or it could be a bad card, ram etc.
