For anyone else trying to install WP8 on Redhat 7 or later, it
does require libc-5.3.12-31 and ld.so-1.9.5-13. Both rpms can
be found on the redhat 6.2 cd and the ld.so has to be installed
first. And you need the serial no. of the WP cd. With that it
installed easily and quickly.
The advantage - you can read and edit your old WP files and
stay in Linux.
The downside -
1) Loading and saving files is very "unlinux-like";
2) haven't gotten the printer to work yet;
3) feels like it was thrown together with whatever would make
it run and no thought for user convenience.
4) some of the key combinations shown don't work.
