Editing configs would be practically impossible, considering the near
infinate possibilities for configurations in squid. Why would you want
to
limit yourself to a web configuration interface anyway?

--

you are right. the case is i am running a squid proxy and have written a
simple shell script for menu-based administration of the proxy. its
convenient for my non-unix colleagues to use, so i was thinking it would
be good if there existed some gui tool (cgi probably) to do this
remotely, through a browser as non-unix people will appreciate it. but
the practical difficuly exists and can't be ignored :)

thanks and regards,
Hareesh.
