You need to know what chipset it uses.  If it's a hardware modem, it won't
need any special drivers at all.  If it's a software modem (if it's PCI,
this is very likely), then you probably have about a 50% chance of finding
drivers for it for Linux, and about a 95% chance of those drivers sucking.
To look for them, try google.
