Congrats, John!

Getting sound to work may or may not be possible with the kernel modules 
(which I assume you're using).  Another avenue is the ALSA Project at 
http://www.alsa-project.org  Alsa isn't hard to install and may even be 
included by your distribution as an optional package.  I use it on my SB 
PCI-512 for about a year and it works great.
