[linux-help] printing from gimp[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index] [Thread Index]
Until last week, I could print great photographs from gimp. Don't know how it worked, but I thought gimp was magic. Now when I try to print, the setup panel show my printer selected (canon bjc 6000) and the command lp -s -d bjc6000@bertha -oraw. I click on print and the ribbon crawls across like it should as the file is being read int the software and then nothing. No error messages; no sound from the printer. lpq is empty. I can still print a text file with lpr filename. Reluctantly switched to windows and printed a photo - looked good. The only thing I can think of that might have changed things is I ran up2date a while back. Don't think I updated anything that had anything to do with the printer, but who knows? How does one go about trouble-shooting this? bruce -- This is the linux-help@xxxxxxxxx list. To unsubscribe, visit http://www.complete.org/cgi-bin/listargate-aclug.cgi
