Hello,

I'm trying to set myself up so I can compile my own
kernel. I'm using Debian. I've installed the
kernel-source, kernel-headers, bin86, and several
other things dependencies called for. The Kernel
HowTo only talks about xconfig. I don't have X
installed on this box, so that won't work. I want to
use the menu instead of the command line. I was under
the impression I could just type 'make menuconfig' to
get myself into the menu. What am I missing?
