What kind of hard drives are they?  How are they configured?

Both IDE?  On the same or separate IDE channel?
Both SCSI?  One SCSI, one IDE?
Does the BIOS recognize both drives?
Does Linux report both drives during boot (dmesg)?
Does standard fdisk allow you to access both drives?
