Sorry if this is a real basic question, I am new to linux. Ok, so what
am I doing wrong. If I try to cat something out to /dev/lp0, I get the
error
bash: /dev/lp0: No such device.

I have searched in the HOW-TO's and such, and I do not see how to
resolve this. I saw somewhere where it mentioned rebuilding the Kernel
with parallel support. Do I have to do this? When I had Redhat 6.0, it
automatically recognized the port. I do not know if this means
anything, but in /proc/modules I see the line
lp 4476 0 (autoclean) (unused)
