It turns out that the AT&T MediaNet connection *does* proxy the
connection...a simple change to the "Operator" connection results in a
proxyless connection.

Very slick presentation at quux.org on the Nokia browser!  Looks like
the next thing I'll do with the proxy is try to implement something
similar.
