[gopher] Embedded gopher servers?

Hello guys,

did someone ever come across something like an embedded gopher server?
Ya know, as many microcontrollers nowadays can support a web server, why 
shouldn't the same be possible with a gopher server. As i take it, it should 
take even less computing power to run a gopher server on a tiny micro.

Anyone seen something like this? Hints on lightwheight gopher servers are also 
welcome, preferably written in C.
