[Freeciv] help with win98 client

hello -

i am having problems launching the freeciv client in win98.

first i open civserver, type "set aifill=7" as in manual. that works
okay.

when i then try to open civclient, however, i get a program error
dialog, "this program has performed an illegal operation and will be
shut down," etc.
