This would probably not be as good in this case, since the contents of the
list change over the course of the game and the number of presses to get
to a particular item would probably change.  Of course, you potentially
have the same trouble with type-till-unique, but it should happen less
often.  Then again, the less often it happens the more surprising its
likely to be.  Hmm.
