Thank you for your support for Red Hat Linux. You currently have your
product listed on www.redhat.com under the Application Index. Thank you
for choosing to be included in this resource.
At this time I would like to introduce to you the Developer Partners
Program. This program provides Red Hat partners with various marketing
and developer support, and serves as a basis for additional partnering
activities. I have attached a copy of the program overview to this
letter. If after reviewing the information, you are interested in
pursuing the program, please contact me and we will proceed from that
point.

Red Hat's Developer Partners Program
The Red Hat Developer Partners Program offers both standard and
customized programs for our software developer partners, providing the
desired level of support and access to the Red Hat Linux community to
insure mutually beneficial partnerships. The Professional Program offers
entry-level developer support and marketing exposure to an exponentially
growing Linux installed base. Additional programs and services can be
selected to create a customized program matched to the developers'
requirements. Professional Program participation is annualized;
Customized Programs can be contracted for on an annual or quarterly
basis.
Red Hat's Developer Partners Program benefits ISVs by offering:
* Leveraged access to a highly energized and rapidly expanding Red
Hat
Linux installed base
* Leading edge developer support through Red Hat's Developer Support and
Training programs
* A comprehensive, continually updated Linux development knowledge base
* Partnership opportunities for Linux distribution and market
development for the
ISV's channels and customers.
Professional Program Overview:
1. Participation in Red Hat's Application CD Library: Increase sales of
your Linux products! Participating ISVs may be included on Red Hat's
Application CD, gaining access to Red Hat customers through its retail,
VAR and selected OEM distribution channels. The Linux Application CD is
updated with every new release of the Official Red Hat Linux.
2. Joint Press Announcement: Red Hat will support Developer Partners'
announcements of their partnership, and when appropriate, coordinate
announcements with other complementary vendors and programs.
3. Application Index Online: Generate highly qualified leads for your
Red Hat Linux products! The Applications Index, featured on
www.redhat.com, will provide ISVs with product listings, links to web
sites and product downloads, as well as the opportunity to resell their
products in the redhat.com online store.
4. Developer Support via the Web: Tap a comprehensive knowledge base
built by the leading Linux developers. Program participants will have
free, unlimited access to Red Hat's Developer Support Network Online.
Features include access to segment-specific chat forums, white papers,
developer documentation and up-to-date information from the growing
Linux development community. Available on or before June 1999. Email
support will be available prior to June 1999.
5. Access to Red Hat's Application Developer Training: Red Hat will
introduce customized training courses for the Developer community in the
third quarter of 1999. (Dates and schedules will be available at a later
date). Program participation is required for Developer Training
registration.
6. Red Hat's ISV Developer Resource Kit: Red Hat's Developer Resource
Kit is a collection of informational and development resources that has
been endorsed, compiled and is regularly updated by the Red Hat
Engineering development team. This knowledge base will provide guidance
and tools to insure the successful creation and migration of your
applications to the Red Hat Linux platform.
Professional Program Annual Participation Fee: $2495
Developer Partners who are members of the Professional Program may also
select complementary programs from the four categories below to create
a customized support and marketing program matched to their market and
product development requirements. Additional programs will be added on
an ongoing basis--please visit our Developer Partners Forum at
www.redhat.com for updated information. We invite and welcome feedback
on your specific requirements that may be incorporated into your

* Customized Web marketing programs and discounted advertising rates on
Red Hat's
Linux Portal Web site.
* Sponsorship features, logo placements, downloads and hotlinks for
product sales on the
www.redhat.com portal site.
* Partnership licenses (preferred distribution rights for Official Red
Hat Linux on certi
fied platforms and for Red Hat Enterprise Support Packages).
* Co-marketing opportunities (access to Red Hat user base with joint
mailings, road
shows, etc.).
* Participation opportunities in Red Hat's Partner Pavilion at industry
trade shows -

* Beta download promotion on the Red Hat Linux Portal Site.
* Participation in Red Hat's Beta Program.

* ISV Developer Support Team- Additional terms and conditions are

availability.
