Don't care about the font message. This seems to be a bug in the
actual Debian distribution.

The Segmentation fault is caused by the Athena3D lib. Use
export LD_PRELOAD=/usr/X11R6/lib/libXaw.so
(e.g. in bash)
to prevent loading the wrong library. You find more answers to this
problem in the FAQ on the freeciv homepage.
