I did some further testing and discovered folowing things:

problem 1#:Freeciv-2.1.0-beta1
non gtkclient: client mode first attempt failed
for security reason second attempt ok
server/client mode on server ok on
first attempt but on client same as above
gtkclient: client mode ok on first attempt
                                   server/client mode on server and
client ok on first attempt
problem 2#Freeciv-2.1.0-beta1
                 non gtkclient: client mode fails
server/client mode on server ok but
on client same as above
                 gtkclient: client mode ok
server/client mode on server and client ok
problem 3#Freeciv-2.1.0-beta1
non gtkclient: client mode and server/client mode
occurs when starting next turn and the game has to start the researching
                                      of future tech
gtkclient: client mode and server/client mode
no problem at all
problem 4# still testing

Because I tested on the 2 version (non gtk and gtk) I discoverd also
other problems
Problem on the command menu: gtk works as it should be
non gtk : command that normaly
are not aviable due to unit and/or technology restriction are not
disabled in the command
menu but are not executed if their is a restriction on that command. Confusing
                                              example: each
non-colonist unit should have the built city command disabled in the
command menu but the command
will be only executed with the colonist. other example on a hill
or mountain tile you allraidy
have build a mine but the command is still aviable on the
command menu but not executed.
                                              also related to the
command menu but specific to the settlers and his upgrade are the 3
tiles change command. It
should gave for exemple for a grasstile following command

                 I
(irrigate or farming(on second irigation))

                 M(changing
to forest)

                 O(terraforming
to hill)

 but
you see on the command menu following

                  I
(irrigating to grassland(on first
and
second irigation

                 M(changing
to grassland)

                 O(terraforming
to grassland)
                                                 Dispite the wrong
info on the command menu the commands are executed as they
should be. What means it
cotribute to the confusing working of the command menu

Their are also other difference between the non gtk and the gtk
version witch gives the gtk version a more user friendly and mature
interface to play the game

For problems #3 and #4 it would really help to have a savegame that I
can just load up and see the problem.
