Using _() here seems problematic.  In fact translation of user/player 
names in general is problematic.

1.  At a minimum heavy TRANS comments are needed, since there are severe 
restrictions on what is allowed in a user/player name and translating 
"badly" could break freeciv rather easily.

2.  These values are in the common code, meaning they may be translated 
differently at server and client.  I'm not sure if this is actually a 
problem; the only client place that uses them is in init_player which 
may not have any effect since it gets overwritten by the server data anyway.
