Also, for those of us who play longer games, it would be handy if
there could be some way to see the maximum food/shield/trade of the
terrain within city radius of a tile.

Not sure what could be done about showing the benefits afforded by
irrigation/farmland/harbour/etc..  Perhaps that could be left to the
human mind to judge.
