[Freeciv-Dev] (PR#2397) 1.14.0 beta 2: repeatable crash for "Swedish"

A bug in version 1.14.0-beta2 (RH7.1, GTK client), replicatable every
time: when selecting my country, if I select "Swedish" after any
other country, the game dumps core with the following error:

Gdk-ERROR **: file gdkfont.c: line 504 (gdk_char_width_wc): assertion
failed: (wctomb(&c,character) == 1)

However, selecting Swedish immediately does not crash.
