Exactly. I merged the old capabilities behind +1.14.0 just recently in
preparation for the release.

No, because I added a new mandatory capability: +1.14.0

Yes, but it is hard. Instead, just edit common/version.h and replace your
capabilities with the server's capabilities. That should work fine for
