LOL. This is the -dev list after all ;)

Check the value of punit->ai.control, if it is TRUE, then the unit is
automated.

I checked :)
The problem is I need this info in "update_menu" function and there this flag is always "0"(FALSE).

I think , I find why !
In "handle_unit_info(...)" funct. "update_menu" is called before line:

punit->ai.control = packet->ai;
