Even better, a scenario (maps!) option in the windows client...
That last is one quite useful for veteran civ singleplayers, even more for 
newbies and Civ2 scenariomakers. Because the "load scenario"- menu option 
is 'there' it will invite players to try it out and experiment. I knew 
rudimentary 
scenarios (in comparison to Civ2 and ToT ) existed for Freeciv but I didn't 
even bother  to try them out until now. Being far more used to Civ2 I was 
constantly looking for some sort of scenario file.  

Congratulations with the upcoming release of Freeciv 1.14 (and the windows 
client)
