In short: no Gnome.
GTK+ 2.0 library requirements: pkgconfig, Pango, ATK, GLib, GTK+.

The size of GTK+ 2.0 has increased a bit due to icons and fluff. But if i
can download it with my 56kbps modem, i am sure you people can too ;-)

Or you can use the old GTK+ 1.2 client. I am certain it will remain the
default one for quite some time (at least until the RedHat 8.0 release).

Well, i will be ready to start commiting stuff Monday or Tuesday. What
i have got now is full featured even if it is a bit ugly: the original
GTK+ 1.2 client wasn't designed with the GTK+ 2.0 style and GTK+ 2.0 has
some minor quirks on deprecated widget support (especially GtkCList).

The redesign effort will take a while but it will be useful. I wanted to
revamp alot of stuff in the old client ages ago but i didn't have the
stomach to implement a bunch of widgets for a toolkit i knew was going to
be obsoleted soon. Since i will be rewriting most dialogs anyway, i should
add the nations dialog patch that is floating around for some time now
(not the one i made, the one with the GtkToggleButtons and flags).

You can see some screenshots of the work in progress here:

If the server is down don't blame me. Blame the university sysadms
:-)
