There is a bug in the make_island code that causes the assertion to fail
ever since the CHECK_MAP_POS patch was applied recently. No doubt this
will be fixed soon; in the meantime you can either compile without
debugging and hope, use an earlier version of freeciv (for instance CVS
from last week), or stick to map generator 1.
