When I try to run aclocal in the Freeciv directory, I get:

$ aclocal
aclocal: configure.in: 228: macro `AM_PATH_GDK_IMLIB' not found in library

I'm guessing that this macro is provided by some file in
/usr/share/aclocal/ by some package that is not installed on this
Debian stable system.  Can someone guide me towards the appropriate
package and/or file?
