[Freeciv-Dev] Hills and mapgen 1

Does it seem to anyone else that mapgen 1 places many more hills and such
in the southern hemisphere than in the northern hemisphere?  I actually
found a misplaced ) in the 1.8.0 code that gave rise to this situation,
but I thought it was fixed in the 1.9.1 code (actually, I saw that the
mapgen code changed a lot, so I thought my findings were no longer valid).

Does anyone else get the same feeling, that the northern lands are
"flatter"?  I'll take a look at the mapgen code tonight and see if this is
the result of a simple error.  Of course, if someone actually -intended-
for this bias, please let me know.  8)
