        The Trade dialog refers to the trade route revenue as "Gold".  That
is terminology already used for other game concepts, and the revenue from a
trade route is not directly sent into your national treasury.  It's treated
just as any other form of trade, and subject to Tax/Luxury/Science
allocation.
        I'm not sure what to rename it to, "trade points" sounds hokey, but
it probably shouldn't be called gold.
