Sorry if this comes dublicate, but it seems to me that my previous mail
just mystically disappeared. But of course this is not exact dublicate of
the first attempt, since I don't even have a copy of it! (and it seems
that, same thing is happened to all my mailings for couple of days...)
My AI client had a bug. It moved caravans inside cities instead of
leaving them just outside before trying to establish traderoutes. This
crashed server every (5) time. I fixed my client to establish traderoutes
from outside city (adjacent square) and since there have been no problems
at all (some dozens of traderoutes established since). Nothing else was
changed at the AI client (although that already meant big changes to
movement system...)
Since it's no longer any bigger problem to me than to anybody else, I
just looked server code very quickly but did not found any obvious reasons
why it crashed. So whoever have more spare time may hunt this one down.
What more... Yep, server sent message about traderoute establishing
before it crashed (client displayed it). I used CVS version of january
28:th. I also have a savegame saved just before AI client tries to
establish traderoute in case information provided by it would be any help.
Btw, In order to distinguish my AI client from others
(Falk at least is working with one), it needs a name. If you are not
going to make any better suggestions I'm forced to give
name my standard way, just by adding Caz in front of it's purpose. That
would give us something like Cazaic. Now, ehat can I promise to the maker
of the best suggestion...
