[aclug-L] Cox has faster Internet...

I don't think any public announcements have been made, so chances are
nobody knows yet... But this last week, Cox Communications upped the speed
on their Premier Highspeed Internet from 5mbit/sec to 9mbit/sec.  (That is
compared to their 'prefered' speed of 4mbit/sec).

If anyone is interested in getting the new speed, just call 'em up and
upgrade!  The Premier service is $54.95/mo ($64.95/mo if you don't have
any other service from cox) versus $39.95/mo ($49.95/mo w/o other
services).

Anyone who is already subscribed to the Premier service should be getting
the new speed already (if you're not, power cycle your modem to get the
new provisioning info from the Cox DHPC server).

If you don't feel like waiting on hold with Cox to get the upgrade, feel
free to send me a private e-mail, and I can call you directly when I get a
chance.  I can also see if there are any promotional upgrade prices you'd
qualify for, if ya like...
