Does anybody here have any hands on experence with
upgrading a TIVO [Philips DirecTV Tivo Model 704] so
that MPEG files can be transfered off the device to
computer. 
[once on the computer I can take it from there...]

I have been told that the model of TIVO that I was
'GIVEN' will not be upgraded to the TIVO software
version 4.1 which will allow for network and file
transfer.
