Linux Is Replacing Windows Says Researcher

"The Santa Cruz, California-based research house interviewed more 
than 400 developers using Linux during February this year to 
ascertain trends in the Linux development market, and discovered 
that 52.2% of developers targeting Linux for application 
development had previously targeted their development at the 
various flavors of Windows."
