Look for something under Linux that says the hardware clock is set to GMT. I
had a problem similar to this once, and that was it.

Subject: [aclug-L] incorrect time problem?

Hi, all

    I have a dual boot machine win2k/linux.

Yesterday I found out the clock time on win2k is
incorrect was like 5 hours behind, I correct it. It
shows ok when I reboot to win2k.
I boot into linux, it got the same problem. I
corrected it,using date -s "correct time",
When I bootup to linux again, it show correct time.

Today, morning, when I bootup the machine on
win2k, it is incorrect again. I thought it is the BIOS
problem, but the BIOS show correct time. Is that my
hardware problem or what?

Anyone having this problem before? Thanks.

Mav
