Are there drivers that will allow Linux to use a USB mouse yet?

I have had a "Kensington 'Orbit'" which was a serial interface for a while
and just had to get it replaced under warranty... but they no longer have
serial devices and replaced it with a USB version and a PS/2 adapter.

When plugged in via USB (in Win'98SE) the device very smooth.... use the
PS/2 adapter and the actions are jumpy.. maybe my computer has a bad PS/2
port?

But would rather use the USB port anyway...

Can I? While currently I am running WinLinux 2000 (which uses SlackWare
Linux as its base)
