In linux most of the time I use the nte browser, but it is very primitive, 
by the bye...HOW DO I RESET THE MIME's on kde?  I have loaded adobe acrobat 
and it is still going to the application which cannot read pdf format. :-(

What? You want a browser that does something more then Lynx??? <g>

Yeah, Netscape on Linux is significantly less stable then other platforms I 
run
it on (WinNT, Solaris). I have a lot of problems with it crashing, but it
doesn't usually lock up my X server. I just love pressing the X to close 
one
window and having all my Netscape windows vaporize. Doesn't happen every 
time,
but frequently enough to annoy me.

You might try Mozilla. I haven't installed it myself, but I know It's 
getting
pretty close to being ready to release (one more build, I think they said), 
so
it should be getting pretty solid. Far as I can tell, even beta code should 
be
better then the current Netscape. It's got all the new extensions & stuff 
too.

There are other browsers available, but all seem to have some shortcoming. 
I
occasionally browse with the little kfm file manager thing that comes with 
KDE.
It works for a lot of stuff, but I don't think it has java or any of that.
