The roadrunner service uses dhcp exclusively so I will check out the dhcpcd you talk about. Is that an add on or is it part of the linux distribution. What flavor of Linux are you running? Version?

I'm pretty sure I've seen a few links and possibly a how-to for RoadRunner.
It sounds like it is different or slightly beyond just DHCP, I think it
includes some sort of authentication as well. My ISP uses only DHCP, so I
use dhcpcd and I'm online.
