ok, i've got ip_forwarding stuff complied into my kernel... i've
echo'd "1" to /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward, i've installed win98 in
vmware, and configured it as 192.168.0.2 and my linux box's local
address is 192.168.0.1... they can ping eachother 'till the cows come
home, but i cannot get inet in vmware, using my linux box (192.168.0.1)
as the gateway... what am i doing wrong?

here are my settings in my windows "virtual box":

IP Address: 192.168.0.2
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
WINS: disabled
Gateway: 192.168.0.1
DNS host: onyx
DNS domain: southwind.net
DNS server: 206.53.103.1

is there something i'm missing??? i'm telling it not to use a proxy,
and use my linux box as the gateway... as far as i can tell,
everything _should_ work, but i must be missing something... ideas???

Stealing?! How could you?! Haven't you learned anything from that
guy who gives those sermons at church? Captain What's-his-name?
