In the Linux Daily News (lwn.net/daily),  they had mentioned that the
Nashville Linux Users Group is doing an 8 week course on ansi c. It
starts Jan. 13th. It is both in person and on line
(transcript/handouts).

All you need is Linux, the ANSI C book (R&K 2nd Ed.) and time.
