yup!  that's it...  then untar them (in the order they are listed below, 
starting w/ the left-hand column)
and do a './configure && make && make install' when in each respective 
directory.  (alsaconf will just put
files in the current dir, and there is nothing to make w/ it).  then, run 
./alsaconf and follow the
instructions there...  you should be up and running soon after...  i suggest 
copying
./alsa-driver-0.3.0-pre4/utils/alsasound to /etc/init.d and to some directory 
that is in your path (ie
/usr/bin)...

just run 'alsasound start' as root, and it should work!

oh, and make sure you have /usr/local/lib in your /etc/ld.so.conf file...
