Linux itself stores date/time in an integer counting the number of seconds
since (I believe) Jan 1, 1970, rather than in a MM-DD-YY or MM-DD-YYYY
type of syntax, so y2k is a non-issue.
Linux runs out of room in its integer in the year 2038... we have another
39 years to solve that problem. :-)
